This game exceeded my expectation. I like easy gamest that you can go through with a lot of entertainment and interaction with the phases. I really like this game.
I have a rare taste when it comes to 1st person shooters, after watching lots of trailers and reviews I decided to buy Battlefield: Bad Company. The game is very fun to play either off like as well as online, it has lots of different and fun levels that will keep you entertained for a long time.Graphics are very good and the fact that you can destroy almost everything is so enjoyable. The sound is also very deep and crisp BUT I noticed that from time to time the game goes mute for like a second and then the sound comes back, this may be a little inconvenience at times since you get very submerge in the game.I also love the fact that this game has trophies support and you are able to increase your reputation with your friends.Did I mentioned that this game is only 18$., thank you EA.
Given what I know now. I was actually bummed when I finished the single player campaign in Bad Company where as I was actually relieved to be done with Killzone 2.
I finished it and sold it back for $28 unsure what all the fuss was about. I then finally decided to go ahead check out Bad Company which had been out for a while.
I got caught up in the hype of Killzone 2 and shelled out a full $60 for it. Sure the graphics in Killzone 2 are state of the art but that only gets you so far.
I spent $19. Bad Company is better than Killzone 2.
If you are trying to decide between these two games, save your money and go with Bad Company. I'd spend $60 on Bad Company today and probably hesitate to spend $20 on Killzone 2.
A word of warning: I am a very tough reviewer. From there I found that I have put in over 4 days of online play. Either way, takeing a screenshot causes horrible lagg for your player.Being so long after release, most of the players you will find online will be experts and/or spawn campers. The characters seem very generic for a shooter; strict Sargent, computer geek, and of course the redneck with a trigger happy finger on a shotgun. I've tried numorous times to try and set up squads with my friends in Europe and I always get some type of an error message that goes along the lines of "Could not connect to squad. Your character is sent to 'Bad Company' for reasons unknown, other than that you did something bad.The online play is what most people buy this, along with most other Battlefield games, for. I mostly say the negatives about games and rarely scratch the surface of the parts that make the game great. The single player campaign is good, but not great, as you might expect from any Battlefield game. It is possible to snap in-game screenshots, but most of those screenshots will fail to upload, many of which say the upload was successful when it really wasn't.
While only having two modes, Conquest and Gold Rush, it has surprisingly good replay value. Being able to check your detailed stats from any computer is a great feature. The servers need work (which will likely never happen) to remove lagg.It is still possible to join your Euro friends in an online game; however, the chances of you being in the same squad are bleque. Please try again later." This is due to your Euro friends having a different 'NAT' type than us in the US.
I played a little bit of the campaign to get the feeling of the controls and then went straight to multiplayer.Originally I was not interested in this game because of the goofy name "Bad Company" and premise (expendable B company troops). That said, I kept at it determined to get my twenty bucks worth. The game is much more strategic than COD multiplayer (not to say it's better or worse). It seemed as though I would get killed seconds after respawning and got really frustrated. The game is not a run and gun game. When BFBC fell to $19.99 I thought I'd give it a shot as I heard the multiplayer was pretty solid. At first, it was an ugly mess. First, this review is for the multiplayer portion of the game. I typically play "support" with the M60 so I can heal myself and others (plus the M60 is a beast of a gun).
I find myself putting BFBC into my PS3 more than COD now - not that it's better, just a different FPS experience. There are diffrent kits (basically classes) that you can assume each with their own pluses and minuses. I would have to say that COD 4 goes down in my book at the best online gaming experience to date hands down, but BFBC is very enjoyable with some unique modes/methods/weapons that should not be missed for any FPS multiplayer fan. I even emailed EA/DICE to see if they had anything and got no response. I'm a HUGE first person shooter (FPS) fan - especially COD 4 and W@W multiplayer where I have logged many hours into both. Over time you'll get to know the maps and have an idea where best to position yourself to help with the overall objective (either defending your gold or attacking the other teams gold).
There's also no good instructions on how to play the game - or score points. I found a few good forums online which helped a little, but am still unsure of all the methods to get points with each of the different kits (other than just killing an enemy). There's also a "Conquest" mode which I've played a few times, but like the "Gold Rush" better.Overall, I rated the game high based on multiplayer. Hey, at $20, you can't go wrong.
